Chapter 8 — Application of Trigonometry

Students Learning Outcomes (SLOs) covered:
- Extend sine and cosine functions to angles between 90° and 180°.
- Solve problems using the Law of Sines, the Law of Cosines, and the area formula for any triangle.
- Solve simple trigonometric problems in three dimensions.
- Apply concepts of trigonometry to real-world problems (video games, flight engineering, navigation, sound waves).
Test Instructions: 15 questions will be randomly selected from a bank of 60 questions.
Time limit is 20 minutes. Passing marks: 40%. Each question has exactly one correct
option. You may move between questions using Next/Previous before submitting.
